The MFL department is delighted to announce the return of the Languages Extravaganza on Tuesday 27th February in the Borlase theatre. Pupils from all Key Stages will entertain and inform with a variety of drama, dance, song, music and presentations, covering French, German, Mandarin and Spanish. Our 6th form linguists will express their views on the importance of Languages in Today’s World. They will also perform extracts from Dürrenmatt’s Der Besuch der Alten Dame and Almodóvar’s Volver. In addition there will be musical performances from the Borlase Chapel and Gospel choirs. Tickets are £8 for Adults and £4 for concessions. The theatre will be arranged in a café style, with tables of twelve seats each, meaning you can select your seats and spend the evening with friends. The price includes light refreshments representative of France, Germany, China and Spain, and drinks will be available to purchase from the bar. The MFL Department would like to say a special thank you to our very talented Year 12 student, Victoria Chong, for designing the artwork for the event and the logo for our evening’s theme “Languages Unite the World”.
