I am very excited to confirm the return of the biennial Jazz Night, which will be taking place on Thursday 22nd February in the Borlase Theatre. Mr Davie and the Borlase Jazz Band will host the evening, which will also involve performances from smaller jazz ensembles and musical theatre vocalists. There will be a fully licensed bar throughout; doors will open at 7pm, with the evening’s entertainment getting underway from 7.15pm. Tickets are on sale on yourboxoffice.co.uk priced at £8.00 for adults and £4.00 for students. Pre-Jazz Night Wine Tasting: 6.30pm-7.00pm, Borlase Theatre In advance of the Jazz Night the Parents’ Association will be holding a wine talk and tasting session from 6.30pm-7.00pm, also taking place in the Borlase Theatre. We are very lucky to be joined by Simon Lloyd from Lloyd’s Wines who will lead the proceedings. This is a free event and will be the perfect start to a relaxing evening. Should you enjoy what you sample, glasses of these wines will then be available to purchase throughout the rest of the Jazz Night and Simon will be on hand for any questions. As ever, our apologies that there is no parking in the school grounds. We ask you kindly to respect our neighbours in near-by streets by avoiding parking in private or designated areas. The public car parks in West Street and at the back of Sainsbury’s should be used. Your co-operation is much appreciated. We are very proud of the continued high musical achievements of our students. I look forward to sharing and celebrating their talents and hard work with you at this important event, and I hope many of you will be able to join us in sampling some wines from 6.30pm. Thank you for your continued support.
