Based on the true story of the singing von Trapp family, The Sound of Music is a timeless story of growth and hope amidst the horrors of World War II. A high-spirited, young governess brings music and joy back to a broken family, facing danger and conspiracy as the Nazis gain power in an uncertain Austria. Featuring classic songs such as, My Favourite Things, Do-Re-Mi, Climb Ev’ry Mountain, and the title song, The Sound of Music, this show has captured the hearts of audiences worldwide, earning five Tony Awards and five Oscars. This is an amateur production presented by arrangement with Concord Theatricals LTD on behalf of the Rogers & Hammerstein Organisation.
